
Juma Ondeng works for the National Museums of Kenya as the Keeper of Antiquities, Sites and Monuments for the Western Region. He has served in various positions since joining the National Museums of Kenya, including coordinator of Public Programmes and Coordinator of research and training projects, such as the Getty East Africa Programme (in partnership with the British Museum). He is a founder member of the International Inventories Programme (IIP) that investigated Kenya’s collections that are currently held in museums and cultural institutions in the global north. He has a passion for the use of traditional knowledge and related systems in economic development.
