Continuing our mission to cultivate meaningful dialogues around restitution, we conducted a screening of “Restitution 101: A History of Theft” in Dakar on February 14, 2024. The morning session was held at ILEA (University Cheikh Anta Diop), followed by an afternoon screening at ISM (Institut Supérieur de Management, Dakar). The event became a catalyst for discussions on historical theft, cultural displacement, and the ongoing restitution journey.
More than just a screening, this gathering embodied a shared dedication to nurturing awareness and fostering dialogue. It sought to inspire a new generation committed to correcting historical injustices and advocating for a more equitable world.
